U.S. Marine Cpl. Peyton Nott is promoted to sergeant, meritoriously, by the 36th Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Eric M. Smith, on Camp Lejeune, July 25, 2023. Nott is the acting motor transportation chief with Romeo Battery, 1st Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, and was promoted as a result of his exceptional performance and leadership while holding a billet reserved for a gunnery sergeant.
